Motion & Video
Richard Powers: An author and MacArthur Fellow, Powers had distributed five passages from five of his books to
different teams to create a short video for each. Shown here is the result of our interpretation of
The Time of Our Singing, a novel set during the Civil Rights era, exploring the meaning and effects of race,
time and science, and music. Developed in collaboration with Daniel Goscha,
Travis Austin, and Richard Powers who provided the voiceover.

Neo-Futurists: As a contribution to Ninth Letter’s Where We’re At podcasts, Adam Law and I conducted and edited an interview with members of the Chicago Neo-Futurists about their show Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. As the longest running show in Chicago, every week they attempt to do 30 plays in 60 minutes with great help from the audience. 7:08. 2006.
